Pligg is an open source CMS that takes a unique approach to content management. Pligg provides the tools needed to create your own Digg or Reddit style site, where many users submit news articles and vote on them. Pligg calls this "social publishing", a combination of social networking and blog publishing. Pligg's main features are user registration, story submission and voting. While Pligg comes with many great features, additional "modules" can be used to easily add new features to your Pligg site. Pligg has been utilized in a variety of ways ranging from a travel review website to a customer feedback engine. Our CMS has been used by Intel Corporation, Bank of America, The Walt Disney Company, OpenDNS and PC World Magazine.
Pligg CMS enables you to create on online community where users can submit articles, vote on them, and leave comments. While most content management systems are designed for only a handful of authors, Pligg CMS was designed from the ground up as a way for a large number of contributors to submit and moderate content. Registered users, as well as visitors in some circumstances, are in control of the website’s content.
